Explore Native Plants: 2026 Master Gardener Calendar Now Available

The 2026 calendar from Orange County’s Master Gardener volunteers is now on sale—and it makes a perfect gift! Beautiful cover art and stunning garden photos bring native plants to life throughout the year.

This year’s theme, “Native Keystones,” highlights plants that support entire ecosystems in your backyard. Each month features a different native superstar—from mighty oaks and vibrant dogwoods to graceful little bluestem, colorful asters, and pollinator-favorite bee balm. These keystone plants provide essential food and habitat for wildlife, with native oaks alone supporting over 500 species of butterflies and moths. Inside, you’ll find:

• Easy-to-follow gardening tips for each season

• Eco-friendly holidays to celebrate nature

• Fun citizen science projects you can do at home

Why This Calendar Matters

What started as a simple idea among Master Gardener interns has blossomed into something special: a calendar that combines gorgeous garden photography with science-backed information to help you create wildlife-friendly spaces.

All proceeds support our Master Gardener volunteers, who provide free gardening education and advice to our community.
